Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority cancels 17 housing projects in Greater Noida
Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority
In a major setback to many home aspiring citizens, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority on Wednesday cancelled the plans of seventeen construction projects of 17 leading builders. The builders had not sought the necessary permissions from the authorities to construct housing and commercial projects.
The authority cancelled the projects related with Ajnara Builders along with Orris infra projects, Gaur sons and Jaypee group. The builders have not officially responded after the shocker from the authority.
According to a Times of India report, Authority CEO Arunvir Singh said,”The builder was to construct residential units on some part of land and commercial pockets in other areas. Though we approved the layout plan of 11 projects, our planning department raised some objections in the building plan of the different projects.
These objections were to be addressed by the builder and plans should have been re-submitted for approval. However, this was not done. This came to light now and we have cancelled the building plans.”
However, this is not the first instance when the authority cancelled the projects of builders failing to address the objections raised by it. The authority had cancelled 5 others projects of the Jaypee group last week. In a clarification, the builders said that they commenced the projects only after seeking permissions from the authority.
